Status Check error mostly comes on older series of Windows EC2 instance i.e. m3 Series.
This error comes when you stop and start an Windows EC2 Instance of m3 series. It disables all the connectivity between user and AWS network. Which means you won’t be able to RDP on Server.
Lets talk about how to resolve this issue.
1. Create an AMI of your existing Server which is effected by this issue.
Select Server > Action > Images > Create Image
2. Create another server from that AMI.
Select the AMI > Action > Launch
3. Remember to change the instance type from m3 series to c3.xlarge
4. You can leave everything same as your older server (i.e Security Group, Subnet, EBS etc)
